About the workshops:

Do you yearn for expansive, anti-patriarchal, feminist, and alternative masculinities, on stage and in your life? Do you burn for the downfall of patriarchy and the uplifting of sexy queer and trans art?! It's time to release your inner Hunk!!!

Led by current core cast members of HUNK, a Chippendales-inspired nonbinary & transmasc revue, this pair of workshops will provide a playful entry into performance, gender, and eroticism as revolutionary spaces. Take one or both!

HUNK 101: Finding Your Inner Hunk - your intro to all things HUNKy! Participants will be invited to divine their own unique “Hunksona”, learn classic HUNK choreography, and explore how the tools of performance art can help you create and express your own most creative genders and sexualities.

HUNK 201: Sharing Your Hunk with the World! Bring the HUNKsona you created in HUNK 101, another existing performance identity, or your good old hunky self, and take your HUNK to the next level! We'll dive into the details of stage craft, confidence, presence, and connecting with your audience — whether on stage, in the bedroom, at the club, or advocating for your community in the next city council budget meeting. With the support of our core cast of HUNKs, you'll build skills, self-relationship, and the confidence to let your unique hunky light shine! Taking HUNK 101 first is recommend but not required!

Q Center is a covid-safer facility. Masks are required (unless actively lip-syncing, eating, or drinking) and provided; HEPA air filtration provided. Building is ADA; accessible and gender-neutral bathrooms on site. Please refrain from wearing artificial fragrances. Light snacks and beverages provided. ASL interpretation available upon request - please email us at hunkpdx@gmail.com at least one week before your workshop if you need this! Reach out with other access questions or needs!
